Serf and myself had seen each other a few times over the years, but hadn't actually painted together since the 1980's. I hadn't painted in that part of Los Angeles since the mid 1990's either, so it was sort of...

For the record, I never spelled my name that way. Of the hundreds of pieces I painted, I may have, once, spelled my name with a 'C' instead of an 'S' - but I do not remember the piece.
